I elected to deviate from John Wilding's lead pendulum bob (to avoid the casting and spinning process), and instead made it from solid brass.

Cutting the solid brass bar into two thin sections, utilising a power hacksaw.

A well worn Myford was used for this project, and the cross slide no longer cut at 90 degree angles. To get the two inner surfaces of the pendulum bob perfoectly flat, the top slide had to be used (with a slight offset). To avoid clashing of the topslide crank with the crosslide, a custom (narrow) knurled drive knob had to be turned.
